K-Pop should just be K-Drama!

Seriously after all this is done, someone is going to make a drama or movie out of this and make money.

OK. So with all the crap that’s going on with the whole “DBSK vs. SME”. I do have something’s to say. Let me clarify first, that I am not even a fan of DBSK nor any of those SME groups, haven’t been since S.E.S and H.O.T.

Fact: Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun, all invested their own money into a Chinese cosmetics company.

Fact: They all have “exclusivity” contracts with SME.

Fact: DBSK get’s 30% or less of whatever is left over.

Fact: Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun filed something against SME. (I’m not saying what because I’m reading two different things. They want to suspend their contract or take the “exclusivity” clause out of their contract.)

Fact: DBSK signed a 13 year contract with SME, fully aware of the terms and conditions stated in that contract. They were in right mind and body when they signed their souls over to SME in exchange for instant fame and glory.

Fact: SME paid for their training, their classes, their housing, their promotions, their entourage of 100+ people, and all that plastic surgery. Layman terms: It’s the reason why they look good and why you love them. Plastic surgery is not cheap.

My opinions:

– IF that “exclusivity” clause does it exist, then its “safe” to say that Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun all breeched that contract. (Laymen terms: SME has a right to sue them.) Hence why it’s called an “exclusivity” contract. It means that SME has a hold on you for the next 13 years and can do with you what they want, until you buy your contract from them or disband. Yes, SME probably wants to cash in on the 3-some’s venture/investment. Also remember: SME owns DBSK, the name, the title everything that has to do with the name. If Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun capitalize on the name, SME has a right to some of the profits.

– If I were SME I’d be pretty peeved too if they went out of the management WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE about their dealings with the cosmetic company. Let me make this CLEAR: WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE in their management.

– I think DBSK has a right to be mad because they get crappy pay, but they signed on that dotted line. If they don’t like it, they bought a cosmetics company, they can buy out their own contracts.

– Even if SME doesn’t want DBSK to leave them, in the end if they decide to leave SME, SME won’t go bankrupt. You people forget they have SNSD, SHINee, Super Junior and other groups. They’ll just go and make another boy band to replace DBSK, just like DBSK replaced H.O.T and Shinhwa.

– DBSK should leave SME and make a label themselves. They have money and the support. It’s not too far off for it to not happen. It’s not like they don’t have the money to produce their own music, pay for studio time and pay other people to help them. They have friends in high places who I think would be more than willing to help them out. SME may have leverage in Korea, but outside of Korea, I doubt it.

– Everyone says that DBSK has the biggest fanclub in the world and is the most popular group in Asia. OK well it hasn’t been proven yet that they have the biggest fanclub in the world, but I do admit they have a LOT of fans. But what I wonder about is, if they are the most popular group in Asia, why was w-inds. voted #1 boy band in Asia in 3 countries?? Japan, Taiwan and Korea? Although that was about a year or two ago, if DBSK has received the same award, someone tell me and I’ll be quiet about that. But it has to be in all 3 countries.

There’s a whole lotta of other factors with both sides, that no one else knows about. Just because Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun’s lawyer made a “statement”, believe me, take it with a grain of salt. I’ve worked with a litegation company and worked on high profile cases in the past, there’s a lot of stuff they’re not saying and you’ll never know. Stuff you’ll never see, except the people involved in the situation. The media is so bs that it’s hard to figure out what’s actually the truth and what’s not. The media are not behind those closed doors, they are not involved personally with either parties. If they were, it’s not like they’d break that trust and go off and tell anyone (without getting a hefty price for that 411 that is).

Just let them all be on their own, figure out their situation and be happy with the outcome. Whether DBSK disbands or not, they can come back as group under a different name, company and under their own terms.
