w-inds.’ Truth is the last

We posted before about w-inds.‘ new double A-side single, “New World” and “Truth~saigo no shinjitsu“. Well here the PV for “Truth“.

It’s a pretty good song, mellow, and the PV itself is interesting. It’s good to see Ryuichi back and not looking so fashionably challenged. Not sure if I’m digging Ryohei’s shaved sides, but as long as he keeps the hair down it doesn’t look so bad. Maybe it’s because he’s so pale and his hair is so dark, so the contrast is blinding to the eye. Keita, well what can I say. He doesn’t look that bad, although it doesn’t look like his dancing has improved from last time I saw it.

Don’t forget to buy the single.

G-Dragon is ripped

At the MAMA event that happened a couple of days ago, YG artists took the stage and blew everyone away. More specifically G-Dragon that is. During a performance he had a wardrobe malfunction, while in the middle of his “Heartbreaker” set his pants ripped in a happy region.

Speaking of wardrobe, what is up with the white furry jacket? I know he’s a pretty boy, but really, do they really need to dress him in such things? He isn’t a girl, did they forget that? Although I am digging the hair a bit, long hair, shaved sides, reminds me of my old haircut. What I do like are his earrings. They’re pretty nice, looks like it’s to be about 0G. Now if he can only gain maybe like 5-10 pounds and not look like he’s anorexic, he’d be a lot hotter.

While I’m prone to say this is “omg ahaha”, what really got my attention in his performance was the camera work. That has got to be one of the worst cameraman workmanship I have seen. Not only did the camera man focus on G-Dragon’s misfortune, but you can’t even see the entire performance. What about the people in the control room? That couldn’t have been the only camera on set, as the stage is placed between two sets of audiences.

I don’t know about you, but I think that cameraman’s lack of ‘camera work’ is a lot more faulty than the wardrobe malfunction. It was more of a fancam than anything else.

I’m adding this because I like the the choreography.

Fashion arises at PMX 2009

fashionshow-pmx

Last Sunday Pacific Media Expo (PMX), held their very first fashion show with Japanese fashion brands Takuya Angel and Angelic Pretty. h.Naoto’s Gashikon also made an appearance to display Hangy & Angry line.¬†Gashikon had her separate fashion show on Friday, 11/6 when two of her models from Papillon performed at PMX.

Takuya Angel displayed his “Lay Line” at Pacific Media Expo’s first ever fashion show, while Angelic Pretty showed off that being a lolita is everything sweet like candy. While the fashion show was cut short, it was nothing more of spectacular. I would have loved to see the show go on longer, but hopefully there will be one next year, longer and with more designers.

Fashion is a state of passion and PMX was full of it. From sweet lolita to punk rock to the colorful and traditional styles of Japan, fashion isn’t just a state of passion its who we are. While these aren’t haute couture or part of the house of Louis Vuitton, these fashions won’t be out of style any time soon.

Do I think the fashion show models could have been better? I think some of them need to take pride that they are wearing some hot pieces and not slouch or take modeling with a grain of salt. While the show isn’t your traditional fashion show, it would have been nice to see a couple of the models take it more seriously like the others.

NYC gets Brown Eyed Girls

beg

While AKB48 was showering fans at Webster Hall, Korean sensation Brown Eyed Girls catered to a more older and sexier crowd. The girls performed at the Circle Night Club in New York City, one of the hottest clubs in town.

The four member group was invited to the Korean Chuseok Festival in NYC and later performed at the club. So fans were given a double dose of the quartet. While the girls didn’t perform many songs, it didn’t stop them [or their fans] from showing off their hot bodies and the ever-so-difficult hip dance to their song, “Abracadabra”.

While some have difficulty understanding their outfits, I think they’re hot. It fits the theme and if your going to do a hip sway you need something that will show off your body. So tight hugging, form fitting articles of clothing is the only way to go. You have to admit not many people can pull this look off.

You would think that being in Los Angeles we would be privy to such acts, but alas we are not. One thing has become clear, K-Pop artists love NYC more than they do L.A., and I don’t blame them, its the ‘Big Apple’, everyone wants to go there, even the suicide bombers.

What I do think is sad, is that they didn’t even go or stop by Iggy. They should have taken advantage of that while they were in NYC. So it looks like the cute girls of AKB48 upped one on the sexy ladies of Brown Eyed Girls.

At least we get Son Dam Bi, who by the way will be performing in L.A. in November.

Check out Allkpop‘s interview with the foursome.

For a better quality check out¬†enigmatt’s version of the Brown Eyed Girls performance at the festival. It really is a much better, higher quality version.
