Shinya Taniuchi is Leading the Shinsengumi

Shinya Taniuchi of J-Pop group Lead is starring in the drama adaptation of Shisengumi Peace Maker. The comic was popularized a few years ago and is the prequel to “Peace Maker Kurogane.” This live action drama has a pretty amazing ikemen cast.

This is the story of a young boy, Tetsunosuke Ichimura (Suga Kenta), who wants to join the Shinsengumi after witnessing the death of his parents by Choshu rebels before the Meiji Restoration.

Shinya plays Toshizou Hijikata, the ‘demon’ of the Shinsengumi. He accepts Tetsunosuke’s acceptance into the Shinsengumi, but as his page. While he is a major player during those times, we have yet to see how the drama will play out the role. The story revolves around Tetsunosuke and thus far have not seen much of this character.

Also joining Shinya is fellow Takoyaki Boys member, Yusuke Izaki from FLAME. He plays Sanosuke Harada, one of three members who befriend and look after Testu. Yuuta Furukawa joins as Tatsunosuke Ichimura, accountant for the Shinsengumi and Tetsu’s older brother.

D-Boys members Tomo Yanigishita plays Souji Okita, the Shinsengumi’s #1 swordsman; Hirofumi Araki as Choshu rebel leader, Toshimaru Yoshida.

Super Junior jacks Lyle Beniga, part II

So it wasn’t just that one choreography that Super Junior took, earlier in 2009, Eunhyuk of Super Junior used Lyle Beniga‘s “Nike Boots” choreo on another show.

Original

Eunhyuk

While the fans of SuJu are saying it’s not a big deal, but this is twice now they’ve taken a choreography that isn’t their’s and performed it on national television. That is a big deal to the dance community, it’s disrespectful. Yes everyone always copies someone, that’s a given, but not everyone belongs to a famous group or to a global agency. I didn’t like SuJu before, just because I don’t like their music, but I have lost mad respect for them.

Lyle needs to get paid! That and maybe SM needs to hire him, oh wait they won’t because he choreo’s for the better group.

Did Namie Amuro plagiarize?

First it was G-Dragon who was under the scrutiny of Korean netizens, this time its Japanese artist Namie Amuro.

South Korean magazine has stated that Amuro’s cover for her upcoming album “PAST < FUTURE” is a copy and Japan’s netizens on 2ch are calling it an “international disgrace” and are saying that the cover should be changed immediately. Japan is very proud of its top stars so for a Korean fashion magazine to publish this is a disgrace, especially since South Korea has been ‘plagiarizing’ (so to speak) Japan (i.e. the TV/variety shows) earlier this year.

Amuro who will release her new album “PAST < FUTURE” after 2-years has gained popularity all over Asia. She is a Oricon Chart topper and is voted as ‘most liked celebrity’ and ‘nicest female artist and lifestyle’ (ok its something along those lines, not exactly).

Will Meisa Kuroki taking over Erika Sawajiri’s role?

Since Stardust Promotions has cancelled Sawajiri‘s contract, the topic of discussion has risen.

Meisa Kuroki has been informally offered the role of “Yuki Mori”, a role originally given to Sawajiri for the live action movie “Space Battleship Yamato“. The movie also stars SMAP member Takuya Kimura.

But today a weekly magazine released information stating that the role is back with Sawajiri, so it has caused some confusion.

The movie will start filming next month, will they be able to decide who will play this Yuki Mori before the filming starts?

Erika Sawajiri’s message

On another note, on Erika Sawajiri‘s official website, has message to everyone.

“See you at the next stage.”

Is this a retaliation? Who knows, all we know is that this girl doesn’t deserve that much hatred. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has attitudes, had she been a normal girl, no one would gives a rats arse about it. Well we don’t either, but we all know the JPop world does.
